Well, I picked up a trio of guppies two days ago and one of them developed a nasty case of fin-rot, seemingly overnight.

I was wondering if there are any dip treatments for it? I can't treat the whole tank because I have ghost shrimp in there and I'm planning on getting snails soon.

Would a saltwater dip work? How would I do this?

Stats are:
Nitrite&Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: Low
PH: Need to test, should be fine, was 7 two weeks ago
Temp: 80F

I would buy alittle tank which you can use as a hospital tank, there not very expensive.
You really need a med as salt baths all the time will stress the fish out to much.
How much of there fins have gone, are the fish struggling to swim.

I believe that 'King British Fin Rot' treatment is fine with inverts. Check the bottle though.

She's not struggling, she eats like a pig, and is active still.

She has lost about a few millimeters of fin, maybe 3 or 4. Not much, really.

jwddboy, is that med sold in the US? It would be great if it was. ^_^

I would treat her with a bacterial med then.
Good luck.

Maracyn fine.
Got to nip bacterial finrot in the bud fast as it can soon kill a fish.
Good luck.

Sorry so sad.
R.I.P.
