Filter For A New Tank

I am thinking about getting a juwel rio 300 aquarium about 300 liters and putting some cichlids in it and the pump i wanted is a eheim 2080 proffesionel 3 which pumps 1700l/h is that to much filteration,is there any such thing as to much filteration?its almost a 6 time turnover an hour.

Filter will be fine, just remember to cycle the tank before adding anything.

You can never have too much filtration!
We have a big external filter on our 42 UK Gallon tank and two on our 120 UK Gallon tank.

as long as the fish aint being thrown around by the current its fine
my 120g is filtered 9 times an hour
