I picked up some frozen bloodworms. I heard somewhere someone had success with that. Not sure what that may do to the condition of the water though. They'll eat leftover fish food or even algae. They actually prefer leftover fish food to eating other snails. But algae is a last resort for them.
Save the bloodworms for an occasional treat for your fish.I picked up some frozen bloodworms. I heard somewhere someone had success with that. Not sure what that may do to the condition of the water though.
I asked the lady at the pet store and she said she would give me all kinds of pest snails. That’s not really what I wanted to do.
I got the Assassin’s to get rid of pests
Have you seen one of these guys move when it gets a scent of a delicious snail in the tank? They are by no means no slow, lol.Think about it. Can a predator that moves as slowly as a snail really afford to be picky about what it eats?
I think that should include the qualifier "for a snail".Have you seen one of these guys move when it gets a scent of a delicious snail in the tank? They are by no means no slow, lol.
Well, assassins eat other snails and those other snails obviously move more slowly than the assassins.
Everything is relative............
