Aha, nevermind then! One day, when I don't have as many small fish, then...They are predatory fish so the smaller fish will probably get eaten.

No, they're very small, unlike the silver hatchets, which are much largerDidn't it start stinking of dead fish?
I'm experienced with escape artist moths... The death's head hawk moth is incredible at squeezing through tiny spaces in walls, ceilings, enclosures, e.c.t. I lost two in my bathroom when I had them for the first time (I keep them in the bathroom as it's humid and warm for tropical species) and haven't seen their bodies turn up since.
Rams are near-bottom dwelling fish, see post #1 for what the OP is looking for.Hm, maybe a Ram pair? Golden or German; both are pretty.
If the OP is looking for top-activity, I would look into schooling fish, not center piece fish.Rams are near-bottom dwelling fish, see post #1 for what the OP is looking for.
What do you mean by "center piece fish"?If the OP is looking for top-activity, I would look into schooling fish, not center piece fish.
Harliquen Rasbora’s and Neon Tetras are the first 2 that come to mind, because I own both.
When I started fishkeeping, center piece fish were the thing. Now it’s less so...What do you mean by "center piece fish"?
Ahhh... Mine's my pleco - when he's out. When he's not, it's the kuhli loaches. And when they're hidden away, I don't really have anything big or flashy. Wanted a discus (my dad's favourite) but they like very soft water so they're off the table. When I started fishkeeping, center piece fish were the thing. Now it’s less so...
Center piece fish just means the center of attention. For example: a Golden Ram
You have all your Tetras, and your bottom, dwelling fish, and your shrimp, but you need that one fish that really stands out and gets the center of the attention.
Discus are tough cookies to keep.Ahhh... Mine's my pleco - when he's out. When he's not, it's the kuhli loaches. And when they're hidden away, I don't really have anything big or flashy. Wanted a discus (my dad's favourite) but they like very soft water so they're off the table.
They seem to be! He'd always told me there'd been a reason why he never kept them... They're expensive, hard to breed and have super specific needs.Discus are tough cookies to keep.
