nice looking tank ian, like the idea of it. Picked up a Red Devil myself at lunch, should fit one of the nano's nicely.

thanks guys, Tizer the red devil is a loverly looking plant, this vid have it's new leaves in and you can see how red they are. the Hc seems to be taking this time around, i'm getting new leaves on all echinodorus. The old leaves are starting to go though, so i need to keep on top of things at the min. Still doing daily water changes.

I'd like to say that for an experiment you've got a really nice looking tank there Ian.
Lets see how everything turns out when it grows, but it definitely shows alot of promise.

Its a little known fact, but the amanos gather like that as they have found it is the best defense against wereshrimp.

What I am waiting to see is how the tank looks on about the 4th of July.

update time...

The echinodorus tricolour is throwing off proper new leaves now. It's a nice sword as the leaf colours starts off white, then gets reddy brown spots on it as the Ozelot does. Then finally a nice green.

I have dumped the HC in my nano, i wish i'd gone with glosso the first time round with this tank. I have swapped the glosso out of my nano in the tank. The glosso has been in the tank for about 3 days and it showing some good new growth already.

Looking fantastic. Drooling over your tank. Set mine up last week and already i'm swamped in algae, definately havn't got the knack for getting the balance right in larger tanks.

Ian, are you using a solenoid + regulator on this tank, or just a regulator? I'm getting REALLY inconsistent CO2 in my tank atm. I turn it on in the morning (yet to buy another timer) and it can be running at 1bps roughly, then just before i turn it off about 7pm it is running the same. Then the next morning i turn it on again and it may be about 1 bubble every 3 seconds. Infuriating.

Yeah it's got a solenoid and reg, are you using the same diffuser?
