If Ebay are informed of a scam then the seller shouldn't have to pay a listing fee if I recall right.
Best advise is to not have anything open in future when using sensitive sites (banking, ebay, paypal, etc) and perhaps run a scan on your computer for any key loggers, trojans, etc.
My mam was nearly hacked a while back, some guy sent an email to her saying her account had been used somewhere else in the world, I think it was like India or something. Then it said click on this link, and enter your details. So she clicked on the link but I said whatever you do don't give your details. It must have been a replica of the ebay site. Nothing strange has happened on my mams account (touch wood) so far, and nothing has been bid on by someone else.
