@ Honeythorn:
This doesn't have anything to do with you being Pagan does it? cause i think the Pagan reality is about as big as the fish tank I'm considering using, you seem to be coping just fine...
Being pagan relating to having a fish tank that's a more realistic territory size for the species ( as an indiviual fish with a territory to patrol and exist in ) keeps a fish healthy ( more water volume to dilute waste, proper space for a decent filter and heater ), with space to actually swim instead of shuffle from one corner to another............I don't quite get where you're pulling that one from, though I have a strong suspiscion it's not from your mouth .
Since paganism is an umbrella term encompassing nature based beliefs, keeping my own fish in a space that it can move about in , is properly filtered, heated ,and planted is really far more in keeping with my religious beliefs in the natural world ( and the general basis of being humane to begin with ) than sticking a betta in a very UN natural 1 gallon (unless you actually enjoy emulating the dry season when thousands of these fish die , as a permanent living situation and I for one do not) .
I wasn't aware I had logged into a religious degradation forum...
As an aside, no offence to the OP, since you have never been advised anything other than to keep bettas in tiny mounts of water before now, then your buying those tanks is hardly surprising and quite understandable given the info you've recieved up until now.
It's up to the OP to make a choice wether to keep the fish in there or not, all any of us will do is sit and post opiniuons as to wether we like the tanks or not, but I for one cannot and
will not sit here and congratulate
anyone on a tank size I believe to be cruel and unessescary.
None of you ( I hope) would do so in a situation where you felt an animal/fish/bird ect was being kept in a highly unsuitable environment intended as a permanent home regardless of popular belief.
