Dwarf Cichlids

remember there are two types of emperor tetra Byron - there the boisterous palmeri and then there's the calm shoaler Kerri also labelled in this country as 'emperor tetra'. The kerri's are really chilled. I had 10 at one point. I now have 10 palmeri's and they are totally different temprements

Ok, so I've gone for four Apistogramma Cockatoo Cichlids with a small shoal of five banded barbs (6) with a view to adding more barbs in a couple of weeks.

So far they've settled in very well indeed.  The barbs and Cichlids are even swimming around together at times.  I've also added some floating plants and leaves to help diffuse some of the light.

And half a dozen plant pots to create caves which I've hidden behind arches of bogwood and moss where possible and half dug into the substrate.

Thank you everyone for your advice and suggestions.

I'm waiting for photos too

The black lines will darken as she settles in and especially if she wants to attract the male.

Thank you.  She's a cracker.  They're still getting settled in and finding their places in the tank.  The shrimp seem to be the ones taking all the caves I've put together...
