Double Spawn!

Hey Erica, I'm gonna be getting my US Wildlife Importing/Exporting license soon. I know I can bring bettas over the border and ship from the states.. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to pick them up from Jen or someone and ship them from Canada if you want.

Wow, can you tell us something about that? How do you get that license? And what does it allow you to do?

Paula, aw of course. =) I have to get to looking into how I'm going to ship to Canada!

Miss Dib Dabs, I totally understand. I was really anxious to spawn again, too, it's a really fun/exciting/time & energy-consuming process, but I love it. ;)

Splashluff: are you in the US?

I don't know the details just yet.. Marianne told me about it and said it's very easy and straight forward to obtain and use. But from what she said, I think with the license, I'd drive the bettas to the border, have the officer check and confirm that they really are betta splendens, pay him the $50ish dollars, then ship them from america. It sounds like a big pain in the butt.. but if a big-time betta breeder like her can do it, I'm sure it'd be nothing for me.

Froggy, I'm going to price them dependant on their quality. For example, a male with a nice 180* span would cost more than a boy with SD span. The same goes for girls. Hopefully, I will have a website going by then with all of the prices & such!

Ashley, OMG $50?! I knew it was pricey, but that's a lot just for crossing the border. I hope you can get the license, anyways.
