Do You Ever Get Fed Up With Cleaning Your Tank?

27 tanks !!! OMG !!!

Do you have pictures , id like to see them ?

i want more tanks but my wife says no

Lol
There are actually 29,as i replaced a 4ft witha 2ft and 2 x 18x12x12's,and another 2 in my Bungalow.lol

This is the plec/cory rack, from when i was building the shed
Room is heated to 26.5 degrees, some tanks have heaters, most use the room temp to stay at the right temp.

Each shelf has 1 x 3ftx18x10",1x 2ftx18x10" and 2x 18x12x10's,4 shelves so 16 tanks on that side.
Tank are onl 10" as they are all bottom dwellers, had all the tanks custom made,by using 10" tanks i managed to get 4 shelves of them rather than 3.Theres a 6" gap above them, and are all lit by Led module lights.

Other rack has

1x 48x15x15
2 24x15x15
1 x 24x18x10
3x 18x10x10
3x 18x12x12
and 2 x 24x18x18 discus breeding tanks

Do you dechlor enough for the whole tank or just your new water?

Ahahh, I feel as if I should plan a fish room now ahahh. Even though I'm living at home, I can't afford it and we have the house on the market ahahh. It certainly needs doing when I'm older! :hyper:

2000th post by the way, not that it makes a difference

When I'll have my own house (awesome if that ever happens) I'll have one room dedicated to a GIGANTIC fish tank with a colossal filter, filled with my favorite cats: Hoplos and Cories.
And for the top of the tank, a ton of swordtails! And maybe a betta or two. X))

I have

Zebra plecs,L260,l134,l183,l333,cory,shrimp,discus
Zebra plec tank is running off an Eheim 2078 3E running flat out, filter is alongside the tank so gets max flow

Just had some Corydoras Reynoldsi delivered today.they are stunners

In what tank size?
Plecs look nice but I don't find them as cute as the fish that have four barbels, for some reason I like four-barbel cats.
Still, a pleco or two in a huge tank would be nice to clean the algae off of it. Although swordtails also graze on that stuff.

Aquenon water change unit. They are available on US ebay and you'll have to pay for shipping to the uk. However, turning 2hours into 15 minutes is near priceless. I thought it was a little pricey but then I calculated it this way: 2 hours a week x 52+ water changes a year = 4+days a year doing water changes?

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=aqueon+water+changer&_sacat=0&_odkw=aqueon&_osacat=0&_from=R40

Shipping would cost about £20-30 depending on the size you buy but once you get it you'll either amused or confused as to why you didn't get one sooner.

How does it work? Obviously it takes out the water via the gravel cleaner, but you still need buckets to get warm water back in or is that attachment for your sink or so?

@Alm0stAwesome If the dechlor amount question was for me (I wasn't sure if it was lol) I only add the dechlor for the "new" water. On my last wc before getting the unit I did my usual weekly 50% then on the side of the aquarium a tiny piece of cellotape to mark 50% if that makes any sense lol.

@salam You attach the unit to the mixer tap, and turn to water on. The water passes through the unit head and creates suction, how powerful depends on what level you turn your taps to (I put both of mine and full blast/flow.) The water is then sucked up and into the sink. In my case it takes about 8mins to remove 50% from my 180L. You unit has a switch that you flip to change from suction to flow which will refill the tank. To adjust the temp you simply put the unit in suction mode (with the siphon part out of the aquarium) when you get the desired temp, turn the switch to flow mode and bam. Refilling takes about 5-6mins.

Yep :) that was for you, and thanks! I'm trying to find that link where I saw it again so I will PM you if I find it :good:
