I've had my boy since February ( I think lol). He's active, eats well, never been sick, flares at me everytime I enter the room  and for all intents and purposes appears very happy and healthy. But... he's never once made a bubble nest. :/ Does this mean he's NOT ok?

It's not unusual for bettas to not make bubblenest, no. Several of my boys don't at all, even when I put them next to a female, so if he's acting well and eating fine then I wouldn't imagine there is any problem.

No thats not true. Some bettas just don't want to. And some are just lazy and don't feel like it. Like for some reason I've had one of my bettas in a 2.5 minibow tank and he flared swam around never blew a bubble nest but when I moved him to a 1/2 gallon fish bowl he has blow a huge bubble nest that has covered almost half the surface. Idon't know bettas are wierd. :dunno:

No,normal. You'll wake up one day and one will be there, he might be making now but not all can blow very studry or sticky bubbles.
