Discus Not Eating ( 3 Weeks Now )

update..
 
metronidazole not arrived from Thailand yet.. mean time I started with tetras hex o out.  80% water change when needed.its been 10 days now.. I put some neons for company as well.
 
discus is lively as usual ( mind you it haven't eaten over a month now. )
 
it started to take interest in the food for last two days.. it take bloodworm in the mouth but  spitting out..  doing this until eventually get sucked in the filter.
 
 
I don't seen him poo yet as well..
 
I am started to worry damage to the intestines is heavier then I thought.

Then cycling with dead prawn is witchcraft..
Ok update.. I manage to locate some cardinal fry.. And discus eating now.. Hopefully in few days I could get him eat normal food..

I'm happy to hear you discuss is eating again.
About the dead prawn, I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic but a prawn allowing to rot in your tank will cause ammonia, feeding bacteria that is needed for you aquarium.
Are you familiar with the nitrogen cycle?

Nitrogen cycle? Nope.. Never heard of it in my 25 year fish keeping hobby..

OK, let's not turn a helpful topic with some good advice into another discussion about cycling. If you want to debate cycling then head on over to the scientific section and play nicely in there.
 
In the meantime, and if it helps at all, I've had fish recover from prolongued bouts of not eating, sometimes their guts just take a while, but it's never a certain thing, as I'm sure you're aware. Keep us posted.

the discus is started to eating blood worms and blood worms only.. lots of it.. its eating cube per day now..
 
next step is homemade mussels, spirulina and vitamins  mix..  ready to go in few days..
 
soon as he gets his double chin back , he is going in the main tank
ps.. its tetra hexaex I used ( not hex o out!)
