I need to make some little caves for my apistos. I have some small clay plants pots which would be perfect if I could cut a hole in the rim or the side. What would be the best thing to use - I was thinking one of those round hole cutting drill bits or maybe a dremel? Would these cause the pot to crack into bits?

If anyone has done this or knows about these things :p I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

Sarah

An ordinary drill bit is not ideal, but if you have a Dremmel, then you should be able to find a suitable bit. I use a very fine angle grinder disk when I cut ceramics.

you can by a tile saw and use that. It's a bit like a fret saw, but the blade is made to cut ceramic and terracotta tiles. if you need to make holes on the middle of the pot there are tile/glass drill bits that will do the job.
good luck.
