I think a lot of bettas are keep cruely

Just cos it can stay alive don't mean its living.

A human can stay alive in a 6 x 4 cell, 24hr a day, BUT its no life but a punishment.

fish dont like polluted water.. thats why they get sick and die from it

They look like normal glass block with a hole drilled in the top. You can get that at home depot, etc. It can't hold more than about 1/2qt, I would estiamte. Probably more than the cups I see them in inside *every* lfs I go into, but a lot harder to change the water than with a cup.

I was at a lfs for the first time yesterday and they had a grid of about 50 small cells - maybe 3"x3"x1.5". It looked like a stained glass window, but it was a big grid of these cells, and each one had a betta in it. That was pretty sad too.

Given their Head Office is in Tel Aviv, Isreal, I doubt it is Chinese!

But keeping fish like that is cruel (whether the pic is fake or not) And i have even seen Fighting fish kept in SMALLER tanks, literally about 3 inches square - things hardly had room to turn round (and this was at a recommended and awarded fish store)

It's worse than putting a Pacu in a 55g tank IMO!

this is happening all over the world

ive seen people in the u.s keeping bettas in wine glasses....

theres nothing we can do about it ....

i think more info should be givin to the owner (just like when you but a dog) how to take care and things like that

but animal crulty is found everywhere in al diffrnt kinds of animals...
