Critter? (Solved!)

OK, one more post before I have to get up and take care of life...dinner, dogs, laundry, all the fun stuff

I was messing with one of the critters, just now...waved my finger as I slowly moved my hand toward it's hole...as always, any movement causes them to disappear quickly back down the hole...but not this one...it JUMPED at my moving finger...not like in the previous vid, but visibly lurched from the hole...again and again...believe it or not...never touched my finger, just seemed triggered by the movement.

I'm doomed.

I... I... GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU GONNA GET ATE

I wish we coulda seen video of that!

OHHHHH, this has serious entertainment bug identifying possibilities. OK, try this. Get a little piece of gorilla tape, fly paper, or something similarly sticky. Wrap it sticky-side out around a bit of string, and wave it over the hole. Critter lunges out and WHAM, it's stuck. Yank that sucker out of the hole and finally see the face of your nemesis...so it can properly haunt your nightmares ever after...

Yes... Do that... But would it actually stick??

It should with fly paper. Not sure about gorilla tape. But any job involving duct tape is automatically that much cooler, so I mentioned that first.
It could be stronger than what you think and just unstick

I have video.

Mrs. Slap is changing our cell phone carrier, so she had to take my phone with her...used my cheapo Canon camera to capture the vid....natch, the battery died while filming, but once it's charged, I'll upload to YT, and post here

Got enough evidence before the battery died, hopefully...it's shaky, but not Bigfoot-video shaky

Stay tuned

You really like to keep us in suspense, don't ya? ;)

I don't mind, since it makes it a fun thread. But it's late here and I won't be able to sleep until I see this! Then I might not be able to sleep ever again after seeing it...

This particular little bugger is near the gate of the fence, where there is traffic more often than any other place in the area, and he/she/it is not like the others...minimal activity doesn't scare it, one bit...it actually doesn't dive away until the fence gate swings over it's burrow...as you shall see in the vid

If I approached any other of the burrows like I do the one in this vid, the critter would be gone at first movement

This one is brave, and bold

It'll be the one that kills me

Here it is, viewer discretion advised. Not for the squeamish.

Apologies in advance for the sound of yapping hounds in the background...they're beyond vicious
Also sorry for the poor vid quality, again, crummy camera in one hand, index finger about to be torn away by the tendons on the other

Play it at 0.25 speed at the 47 second mark and just watch that thing... It looks li!e a tougue, or a tremor. (I'm not joking about it looking like a tremor this time)...

OMG, that thing is fast!
Weird thing is, when poised to strike (end of video) it looks like a spider but then the whole monster comes out.
Imagine when it grows to full alien adult size
