Hi all,

Well, after possible losing my zebra nerite (to tank getting too hot), I now know that the transparent plastic lid cannot be used on my nano tank. Now before I go ofe and drill a load of holes in the lid, I would rather (if possible) fit a square of mesh to it, one that is sufficiently rigit and breathable... any ideas? thanks.

Get a fine clear mesh and cut it into a box net, so one big square in the middle that will cover the top of the tank then have 4 rectangles at each side that you can attach to each other to make like a box lid then put some kind of weight around the edges to keep it in place.

Hi cheers :) thats exactly what I've been trying (and failing) to find... even on ebay..

Would you know where I might purchase it?

You would probs have to buy the mesh and make it your self, erm not sure what shops you have near you but somewhere like the Range might sell it or if you have a fishing shop near you maybe adapt a fishing net to what you need.

But then again something that just slapped me in the face, how about pond netting you can probs get it at your LFS you would just need to make something that is snug to the tank with the netting and sew the shape together.
