they are for use in vivariums but its soo much cheaper than aquarium stuff.

Just make sure you check out the reviews, that wood has terrible reviews :/

does anybody know if those backgrounds are safe? ive been looking for cheaper alternatives for 3d back grounds also.

ok thanks ill just have to keep saving up for one of those on ebay then lol £130 seems alot even tho they do look pretty good.

i know. i was just hoping it was safe to use in water and non toxic to fish. minnt used a foam background in one of his tanks that he bought off ebay but its a different make i think. ive seen this background elsewhere for £8.50, so not such a big loss if its rubbish (although i'll need 4 of the 60x60

Its a very annoying thing if its not done correctly, if its not sealed tight to the glass, you get gunk built up behind it, it becomes hard to clean once algae builds up on it and its a real faff if you get stuck fishies. I'm not a fan myself, just too much bother :/

I intended to use JBL AquaSil to stick it down. i thought about a normal background but im not completely decided yet.
