Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

Does anyone know which is better for covid19 (paracetamol or ibuprofen)?
As in helping calm down symptoms? I'd imagine whatever works for you during a cold or flu, as the immune system response should be the same if the symptoms are similar. (Because those symptoms are just the immune system pushing the buttons that cause said symptoms in order to help fight the disease, and in this case the immune system should theoretically be pressing the same buttons for both diseases)

But I'm not sure, this is just a guess based on what I know about the immune system

I have never taken anything for a cold or flu virus, hence the reason I was asking. Don't have a GP to ask so was curious about what others are using.

I've only used advil(ibuprofen), but only because I'm allergic to Tylenol(Paracetemol)
It works well though.

Never heard of anyone being allergic to Tylenol! Thats interesting....

In the UK paracetamol is generally recommended over ibuprofen as a first line remedy because of the side effects of ibuprofen. There were some suggestions that ibuprofen could make symptoms of covid worse earlier in the pandemic, but I don’t think any strong evidence of this was ever presented

Well this was when I was 5, so I might no longer be allergic, but i don't feel like testing it out.
Yah, dont find out. Lol. You don't want to accidentally, ya know... Die or something

A little something to think about.

The "weaponising" of bacteria and virus material is not as outlandish as most people think.

Many people have questioned the COVID 19 origin and how it effectively managed to have hub spreading in various parts of the world.

Equally, many more people have dismissed the alleged weaponising as impossible.

There is precident for those who felt and who still feel that the virus and its spread and its mutations were suspicious, and that history could be repeating itself.

In 1938 the Japanese had a very specialised unit within its army.

Unit 731 lead by Lieutenant Shiro Ishii

The Japanese only admitted the existance of Unit 731 in 1984. The catalogue of attrocities committed by Unit 731 included the use of bubonic plague infected fleas that were deliberately placed into a Chinese town, wiping that town out. They also used other pathogens such as anthrax and cholera in targetted attacks on Chinese towns and villages that they had taken in the early part of the war.

Cherry Blossoms At Night was such a plan by Unit 731 to airdrop pathogens onto the city of San Diego.....the only reason why it did not happen is cos the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan who then surrendered.

Unit 731 carried out absolutely horrendous war crimes against the Chinese and POW's from other nationalities. The head and most of the soldiers within the unit never saw a war crimes trial since the Japanese refused to acknowledge the unit til 1984. Very few of those who survived the war and who were a part of Unit 731 saw any punishment even to this day.

Full intel on the unit can be found on this link. I warn you that some of what is described is truly horrific, sometimes significantly worse than what occurred in the German concentration camps.

So for people to feel it would be impossible to weaponise pathogens like COVID 19, should really, maybe rethink that cos it could easily be a case of the Chinese taking a leaf out of the Japanese biological warfare instruction book.

Me...I am open minded as to how COVID 19 managed to "land" in very specific hotspots worldwide. There are many questions that might never be answered but Unit 731 gives insight on how it can...and was...done in WW2.

I personally dont think this was a weaponized disease BUT it could be used in the future as that... That is crazy what happened... Insane

The first officially diagnosed cases of Covid in the UK were a Chinese student and a parent from Wuhan attending a graduation ceremony at a UK university. I knew about it before it hit the media because it was where my son worked.

I say "officially diagnosed" as there were cases before that which might have been Covid but they weren't diagnosed. It was possibly the Wuhan connection which triggered testing in these cases.

The mutations of the virus are not suspicious in any wa. Scientist noticed that viruses can mutate rapidly almost as soon as the flu was identified as a virus. Furthermore if a virus doesn't mutate eventually the population will be come imun to it and it will go xinct. So the virus needs to find a form that either evades the immune system or doesn't kill the host. The first few versions of the virus caused the virus to spread more easily. But that now has made many peaple immune or resistant to the virus. So due to environmental pressures the virus is mutating to make it hard for the immune system to recognize it and less lethal.

As to the spread as soon as scientist noticed diseases spread from person to person it was recognized that a viral or bacterial disease could spread very fast. Add in air travel any new disease could spread to multiple countries before we notice it. And that is exactly what happened with COVID 19 . Several months after the start of the pandemic some people started to look through death records and found some had Covid 19 about a month before the first official case in the US. And other countries also noticed this. So COVID was a global problem at about the same time China isolated and identified the virus.
