Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

As for the U.K government, I cant really say anything bad. Im not really a government person but they have had it tough, As soon as Boris had taken over he was threw right in the deep end with Brexit,Then the virus in between everything else he had a new baby. So i really dont envy the guy at all. Didnt really rate Hancock either thought he was a bit of a slimy git but to be fair to him he has been right on the pulse with updates & solutions
I can only assume that you are on glue if you think that Johnson hasn't made this situation worse, and that Hancock has been "on the pulse".

I'm out of this conversation now as I will fall out with people.

Cheers, everyone.

I don't think that ANY govt. could have been prepared for anything like this pandemic, but the mixed messages, "do as we say not as we do" attitude, and the contracts-for-mates carry-on is shameful.

Well to be fair the very few people who broke the social distancing rules were all eventually fired..

(or retired nurses - (I know several wh have volunteered) to help out.

This is simply not true buddy, I just watched on Sky news it was encouraged to retired nurses.

"Retired doctors, district nurses and physios recruited to administer jab in England’s biggest programme of its kind"

"Health boards are already recruiting retired nurses, midwives, pharmacists and therapists to train up."

I think though poor Boris has had a hard time, he has been juggling the massive headache of Brexit, had The Rona himself, and has to deal with being the PM which is a job that all by itself will give you grey hairs and put lines on your forehead.

Sadly in the UK today, a record number of deaths from Covid19 were reported, 1325.
Infection rates are very high - R1.14.
68,000 new positive cases today.
Despite a national lockdown the next few weeks look very bleak.
Keep safe everyone ☹️

Yep, the UK is turning into another America when they had 100,000 new cases each day. :(

Tricky disease but I'm still surprised a man of his wealth couldn't protect his mum fully from the virus. The guy owns Islands still I think. Though at some point I think he offered them as collateral for the business.

It just goes to show that nobody is immune to this virus and it can attack and kill anyone.

Not seen this excuse before lol

Oh come on can you really be that much of an idiot. How the heck do u not know that there is a global pandemic going on. Wtf is wrong with these people.
they are lying to evade the rozzers...

the rozzers will simply respond 'ignorance of the law is no excuse'

Whoever mod changed my offensive language thank you. I was frustrated at the time and kinda just let my emotions run loose which I shouldn't have done. Apologies

But the thing I find strange is why with his resources he has not shielded her better. It just doesn't make any sense. possibly she didn't want to be treated any different, it just doesn't make any sense. There is no evidenec this virus survives on packaging, so why not give her a property to stay in, with some carers (I assume here she is elderly and needs them) whome could also have a rom there and therefore she is in a so called bubble just living on deliveries.

I have seen a LOT more ambulances than usual the last two months, with their blue lights flashing. Do these guys go out picking up people with covid 19 do you think? Have any of you seen them more often lately?
