Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

Herd immunity is a ridiculous approach to an unknown virus. Best to social distance, practice good cough/Sneeze hygiene, wash your hands, limit contacts & stay home and stare ar your fish.

I'm absolutely not burying my head. Vaccines will need to go through trials of course but immunologists and those with the expertise will only go ahead when it's safe to do so. There's no gain in injecting vaccines that will cause harm. It would collapse the entire vaccination programme. Which was already damaged enough for Wakefield.
Now the trial is showing muscle issues such as in MS. Wow!

Good thing they do trials. Rushing a vaccine abd skipping necessary steps could see things like that missed.

It was in the UK news in February, there was concern about people coming back from February half term skiing trips in Italy.

Trump knew it was a deadly virus on 7th Feb, I don't know about you guys but I don't think I learned of it until mid March or so.
Late January my husband was concerned. He wanted me to wear a facemask to an election count centre. I didn't but I was sterilising my hands lots & my friends/colleagues were laughing at my over reaction.

I returned from Sri Lanka in early Feb. They were already doing temperature scans at Columbo airport when we arrived in mid Jan and SWMBO made me wear a mask for the return journey.

Just re-read the first couple of pages from this thread at the end of February.
Amazed at the knowledge and insight from Colin in post #5!
