Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

I didn't know where else to post this as it's the only forum I am on and I didn't want to post it on Facebook for people I know including my girlfriend to see...
I havnt read any of the above so sorry if I'm interrupting anything,
As the virus is rapidly spreading the uk tonight has finally started closing bars, shops, restaurants etc, however my girlfriend is a nurse, a key worker,
Usually I would be fine with her choice to stay and serve for the NHS, however, she is asthmatic, I'm so anxious about it and I'm just assuming if she gets it...shes history.
The first case got tested positive today in her hospital so I messaged her instantly to come home, no matter how much money we lose over the coming months nothing is worth a life, we also have a 5 year old girl.
She is 27 years old and the only health problem she does have as far as I know is the asthma, she does get ill very easily also.
There is one issue, if she takes her reccomended 12 weeks isolation, upon her return she will automatically be put with high risk patients as her immune system will apparently be higher, regardless if she has been ill or not. Nothing I have said has convinced her to stop work NOW.
She claims she has a duty but is it worth the risk for somebody with asthma who already sometimes struggles to breath?
She said she will wait and see what sort of holiday or money she's entitled to or what the government are planning etc but to me every second matters in this rapid spreading disease I want her out!
I guess my question is has anybody heard of asthmatic cases and results? Would you all react the same? Any other ideas I can say? She claims nobody would understand unless they have been a nurse.
My daughter that is showing signs she may have the virus also has asthma, I will say a prayer for your girlfriend too.

You know I am not surprised that chinese people eat raw meat because when I went there ive seen a naked guy eating poop from a toilet. And 10 years old me quickly ran out of toilet, and not gonna go to chinese toilet ever again...
I would say you went to the bad part of town with all the crazy people :)

People do some strange things in public toilets. I had to use public toilets when living on the street and it was always a worry when you first open the door.
What is behind door number 1?
What is behind door number 2?
What is behind door number 3?
That's it, I'm out of here :(

Some days I went into the bush because the toilets were just disgusting.

There's lots of crazy people in the world, not just in China.

A few years ago I was walking home from the shops when I saw this nice looking young lady running around on the park. I didn't think anything of it and didn't say anything. A minute later this lady runs up to and stops in front of me and screams at me.

My heart jumped and I stopped and said excuse me. She ran around me several times yelling something about the grass and her pony and then she left. There were no horses there and we figure she had just missed her medication that day.

More recently a guy threatened to kill me because I took a picture of his caravan that was parked on the footpath. I had to walk on the road to get past it and figured I would take a picture. The guy comes running down his driveway threatening to smash my head in with a piece of wood simply because I photographed his caravan. He went absolutely nuts. I ignored him and continued walking, and listening in case he came after me. He did run after me for about 20 metres and then stopped.
I called the council on him and had him done for parking on a footpath :)
I should have reported him to the cops but didn't. I still might.

So there are plenty of nuts on the planet, not just in China, but everywhere you go.

People are just arrogant and don't care.

Years ago you walked down the street and you knew the people in the neighbourhood and everyone looked out for each other. The neighbourhood was almost like an extended family.

These days there are too many people and nobody knows anyone in the area and nobody cares. If someone wants to park on the footpath, they do it and they really don't care about pedestrians or anyone else who needs to use the path.

It happens around here all the time and I normally carry a camera to photograph the vehicle and then call the council.

----------------
And it's not just footpaths where people park. I had a new neighbour move in last year and when they were unloading the truck they had all their vehicles parked on my front lawn. I didn't worry about it at the time because they were trying to move into the house next door.

Six months later and the neighbour and his friends were still parking on my front lawn. He hadn't come around and said "Hi, I'm from next door, Do you mind if my friends park on your lawn sometimes?" He didn't do anything like that. Him and his mates just parked on my front lawn. He has a double driveway too and still used to park on my lawn.

I contacted the council about it and asked them to tow the vehicles but the council refused saying they didn't have permission from the property owner to remove vehicles form the property. I said I am giving you permission to do it. The council didn't care and refused to tow any vehicles off my front lawn.

One day I went out the front as one of the vehicles was reversing off my lawn and I had a chat to them and told them straight out that I would have any vehicle towed from my lawn if they kept parking there. They haven't parked there since. But damn, the nerve of some people. Parking on your neighbours lawn without asking them first.

Wow this is exacly my country in a nutshell....

On a different subject, I got some food today. I got some meat yesterday too :)
I went to my local supermarket yesterday and walked inside. The fruit and vege isles were full of fresh fruit. I wandered over to the meat section and it was full. I grabbed some meat and headed to the freezer section for frozen veges, but they didn't have anything. All the isles except the meat and fresh fruit section were completely empty.

Today when I went there they had meat and 3 packets of frozen veges so I grabbed 1 pack. And I found a packet of low GI brown rice and 2 cans of baked beans.

Now I have a quandary, do I eat the neighbours cat or let it go. If I let it go I might not catch it again. But if the shops continue to have food, I won't need to eat their cat.
decisions, decisions.

Hi risk buddy, lots of nut jobs will hurt you for that!

Well, update on my side of the world. My family has started rationing all food. Great.

There was 1 confirmed case of the Coronavirus in Anderson county. (The county where I live)

And now Kentucky isn’t letting anyone see any dentist, doctor, etc. unless they are in pain.

The other day I went to the dentist to get some work done on my tooth and I literally had to argue with him wether or not he would work on it for me. I finally told him “I’m in pain!” And he was like, “Oh, in that case, come on!”

Please, this is getting ridiculous. :(
