That must be it...maybe they are pooping themselves worrying about catching the virus
We're living in a weird world...Irony. An infected person went to a vaccination clinic in the eastern states of Australia and now everyone that was at the clinic during a 2 hour period on that day is considered infected. You go to the clinic to get vaccinated so you don't catch the virus, but you catch the virus while there
I think that I have some sympathy with politicians at the start of the pandemic - it must have been very difficult to decide what to do and when, when there probably wasn’t a huge amount of data/information. One news source recently said if the UK government had gone into lockdown two weeks earlier something like 20,000 lives would have been saved. That’s a terrible loss, but I’m not certain anyone would have know how persistent this virus would be. What I don’t have is any patience for some of the stupid rules since (and then government advisors/ministers) breaking them. Why give someone a weeks notice that you will be closing the border from another highly infected place, so everyone can come back to the UK without any quarantine…???

Oh I know that. I called them because all my friends had at least their first jab already. I only moved to Wales in December and registered with GP in Jan (moved during xmas time) so they said they potentially didn't update the records in time. It is awful what is happening now. How Boris Johnson can even consider relaxing things when we are in a 4th wave is appalling. My daughter is going to emigrate to China to work in mid - August, but if China closes their border to us because we are in a mess all her planning and expense so far will be for nothing.The Pope has had an operation for a bowel condition.
I think if you are going to post “facts” then you should also post your location and sources. Stuff like this, in my opinion, is not truthful and not helpful when people have genuine worries. The number of cases in my city has gone up by 360 in a week and our stupid politicians are ignoring scientific advice and removing ALL Covid regulations from 19th of this month. I’m hoping for a U-turn on the wearing of face masks
Well, no lockdown for us but just more restrictions. But I assume that some day the borders will be closed again if the virus spreads in the same pace as it does right now. The current measures will hold to mid August. Especially the catering industry is not amused by this. I can completely understand that. For they've got an incredible financial loss already this past covid year.
This is exactly what has happened two weeks ago overhere. And now look what has happened! They're hitting the break now...
