Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

go collect some, they are found in most freshwater creeks, rivers, streams and ponds around the world.
Really? That's cool.

yeah, they are found all over the world except the polar regions. Most are found in cooler water (below 20C) but there are tropical species too. Basically if there is freshwater with plants or grass along the banks, there will be shrimp.

Red cherry shrimp?
not cherry shrimp, glass/ ghost shrimp

Apparently over 300,000 people have tried to cross the border into Queensland during the last week.

Now I gotta go to the park! That's cool. Would they be able to adapt to warmer water in a tank?

Most of the shrimp are fine in warm water. Obviously don't get shrimp from water that is 5 degrees and put them in a tropical tank, but they usually experience a wide range of temperatures in the wild.

Around here for example, the water temperature drops to less than 5C in winter and gets up to 30C in summer. That's a huge swing and the shrimp are fine as long as the temperature change is slow, over a period of months.

In America it's currently summer and the water should be warm enough for shrimp to go straight into a tropical tank. However, it's a good idea to quarantine them just to make sure there is nothing else (dragonfly larvae, etc) in the water with the shrimp.

Two people in Victoria apparently went into a fast food outlet and bought lots of food (26+ meals). The cops were called and followed the people back home and found a party going with over 30 people in one room. They were all fined a total over $26,000 for breaching lock down laws.

That's an expensive party LOL, I suspect we will see on the streets of London more parties in the street one week after easing of lockdown.

Well this article lists a lot of issues some people are getting after getting the virus. Quite shocking.

There was a thing on the news about this. Apparently the virus causes little blood clots around the body, including in the brain and other organs. The blood clots in the brain are causing mini strokes, which in turn is causing brain damage, and people are developing symptoms similar to stroke victims.
