Here is my pink and green torch (not sure scientific name). This was when I first got it and the colours are much darker now.
Couple of things to mention on care:
As mentioned too much flow is really not good for them. Basic rule is to have the tentacles gently swaying. if they are getting pushed to far one way or moving too quickly they will close up and eventually die.
With regards to lighting I have kept a hammer and a torch under power compacts and T5's. They grew much better under 2 or 3 T5 tubes then they did with power compacts.
Another important point is positioning. In the photo above you see that it is coming out the side of a rock. This didnt work and I ended up losing 3 heads at the bottom because it wasnt getting enough light. Make sure you position them so that all heads get a good amount of light. If some are starting to get over shadowed then try fraging out a couple of branches to clear some space.
I have never observed and sweeper tentacles on the hammer or torch I have but the torch is fairly far away from anything else.
With regards to feeding. I dont often feed mine but it does take food out of the water column when I feed my fish. It takes mysis, brineshrimp and even bloodworm (though I dont feed this very often).
After the nightmare I had with my new tank and a pretty big ammonia spike and cycle I have started target feeding mine again (along with my bubble coral and zoa's). I defrost a cube of mysis and a cube of brine shrimp and put in a small tub, I then add a little marine snow or phyto and then fill the rest of the tub with tank water and mix it all up. I use a turkey baster to feed the corals with.
I have found the best way to feed them is to put the end of the turkey baster amongst the bigger tentacles (carefully) then gentle squeeze the bulb on the baster until the mysis is just coming out the end. If you do it right 9 times out of ten a tentacle will grab it and pull it out. I do the same for my bubble coral just putting the end near its feeder tentacles.
You dont have to mix phyto or marine snow with the food but I do it to put my bubble coral into feeding mode and I have also found my torch responds a lot better to feeding when there you are putting a little bit of phyto out along with the meatier foods.
With regards to clowns and hosting. My perc clown hosts my torch and doesn't do it any harm (and she feeds it). However she is not fully grown and bigger species of clown could do it a fair amount of damage (they can get very rough with them).
