A lot of members on this site are from countries using metric. Also the UK and US gallon is different. I have found a good site for doing quick conversions. Maybe one of the mods would like to pin this one. I know I will be using it quite frequently.Conversion Calculator

Thats terrific because in Australia we use Litres, cm etc... while you people use gallons, inch etc...it took me ages to learn this metric system

Far better would be to quote the dimensions of an aquarium. Stating the volume in any unit says nothing about the surface area.

I posted this program a while ago that I love to use. It has hundreds of different calculations and can sit in your system tray or just on your desktop. It's the best I've seen to calculate.
