Concerts, Who've You Seen?

....how i wish i was living in the 60s/70s, my favorite bands were around then, Zeppelin, Doors, Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who etc
If i could go back to any era it would be 60s

Hey...time for a little shameless self-promotion! If anyone likes THE WHO wants to see QUADROPHENIA performed with a live band as a rock opera....come to the avalon in los angeles on march 10th. I play a mod. It's pretty much the best thing ever.

Fastlane are amazing! I'm good mates with the guys, see them quite a bit. If you've got their album I'm in the thank you list, and their newest song is named after the site I help run too.

You've got a good list there :D

at the risk of sounding well , older:) I have seen Mott the Hoople[anyone every even heard of?] Barclay James Harvest, KItaro, Vangelis ,clannad and more recently Sarah Brightman , Pavarotti , Jose Carreras and Blackmores Night [Richie Blackmore and candice knight].. seen a couple of Solid 60's shows too .

I think i remember doing this here at some point.

Grateful Dead (40 times?), Phish (7 times), Santana, front 242, nine inch nails, meat beat manifesto, primus, fish bone, bare naked ladies, tracey chapman, goo goo dolls, red hot chili peppers, janes addiction, duran duran lol, and others but I can't remember right now. Hord tour, la la tour, and maybe lilith tour...I can't remember lol. I used work shows so it's kind of a blur.

eta: rage against the machine, ministry (love them), bad brains...I suppose raves don't count.

Just a funny story about all american rejects

A "friend of mine" went to one of their shows with this girl "he" knew (who he now knows was a stupid girl to begin with)
anyways while the lead singer was singing "he" spit in his face and the guy stopped mid-song because he was so pissed. I'm not saying I don't like you for liking the band so don't get me wrong... they're just not my type of music.
All in all, a pretty funny night.

Donnington Rock Festival - 1995
Phoenix Festival - 1996
V Festival - 1997
V Festival - 1998

Seen loads of other great bands over the years, but.....

...best gig was Green Day @ Sheffield Leadmill in October 1994 with support from China Drum. Hooked ever since.

onemisterchristian...
Sadly I tried to get tickets to belle and sebastian but they went so quick.

If you ever want tickets in the future, PM and i'll get you them. My cousin is in the band, he gives me free tickets and backstage passes whenever i want.

Very first concert I went to Clannad in the early 80's
the last concert I went to Steve Harley and cockney Rebel (come up and see me---make me smile)
worst concert I have ever been to was Limp Bizkit at Brixton Academy I paid £30 a ticket for a band that was on stag for a total of 35 minutes and then they did 3 covers out of the few songs they performed!!! I liked Fred durst and limp Bizkit until this point...I will add I had also paid for my daughter and baby brother to come along too!!!!!

Best concert was probably the Beachboys at wemberly in the late 80's they were fantastic and really threw themselves into the concert

the next concert

The Stones at the New Wembely Stadium in August cant wait :D

Ohh also went to plenty og=f Monsters of Rock festivals in the 80's so saw most of the rock acts around then..including Van Halen GnR Def Lep, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, europe, deep purple, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top....yep a rock chick at heart

They were really good when I saw them. They stopped mid-song a few times so that the people who had fallen down and weren't being helped up were given chance to get on their feet.
