SLC Flyfishing
Fish Crazy
man I've seen alot of bands over the past two or three years. I basically made a life out of going to dance clubs to check out all the punk bands that came to SLC (Salt Lake City) we've got a pretty healthy punk scene here. So here's my best shot at what I've seen.
Rancid---too many times to remember
Dropkick Murphy's----2 or three times (warped tour)
Anti-Flag---Highly reccomended
Bouncing Souls----Losing Steam these days
Face to Face------too bad they broke up
One Man Army------Best show I've seen, they are all broke up too now
Yellowcard------Bland
New Found Glory------Bland
A.F.I.-------sorta dark and satanic, I liked their energy though
ALL-------easy to forget
Jack Johnson-------pretty good (my wife's a huge fan)
Bad Religion---------Hardcore Punk Classic
Depeche Mode-------Left Early
Distillers-----------Really great
The Explosion--------one of the best
Flogging Molly-------anyone for doin the Jig
Green Day-----------a bit too sell out for me personally
Less Than Jake--------good
MxPx------------they were good a long time ago, but I heard they're making a strong comeback
No Use for a Name, NOFX, Lagwagon,----------just 3 different names for in my oppinion, the same exact sound
Penywise---------not so good
Rise Against-------------I didn't like them at the time, but I'm starting to appreciate them now
Sixer-----------one of my favorites
Social Distortion----------------you can't deny that Mike Ness has what it takes to rock
Long Beach Dub Allstars---------bland as well
Tiger Army----------these guys are amazing live
Unwritten Law-----------great band
The Used-------local band for me, but not my style
There's too many others to list since I frequented the Warped Tour for 5 years or so. I have since ceased going to concerts because I've basically seen it all
The only band that I am dying to see is the U.S. Bombs. They're finally coming to SLC in june (can't wait) that'll be the last punk show i'll attend.
wow I've blown a lot of dough on music. (luckily I've only paid about 5-10 dollars for most of the concerts)
