Cold Marine Aquarium

Hi, I just wondered if anyone on here has a cold marine set up as I've just started one?

No LR for sure!......unless it's out of English waters! Same for the fish too I'd imagine.
Certainly no coral tho.

I have anemones, crabs, shrimp, and snails so far from one beach trip rock pooling, looks awesome too. only needs a decent filter, no specialized lighting or a skimmer or heater. Oh it needs to be kept away from direct sunlight to keep it cool but its great, going back soon for some starfish, more anemones and a goby. You'd be surprised what you can find in rock pools at decent beaches in the uk. I'll get some pics up soon after my next trip.

Definitely Coral, it exists all over the world in both cold water and tropical water marine environments, the bacteria should be fine too as long as the transition is gradual, after all it's the same species.

Blimey! just checked out that thread. That tank looks awesome. I had no idea we had life like that off our shores.

Why am I wasting my money buying on line and in lfs when I only need to travel 150 mile or so and pick for myself! lol!

I think i'm gonna pm the guy and find out exactly where in wales he goes!

I didnt know you could have a Coldwater Marine tank. Woah... I might have to check up on this... Whats the differences between this and the warm water...
