Cold Cathode Moon Light

ok what type of silicone as the one i use at work smells pretty toxic
and also, if taking time, is it possible to wire the 6v adapter straight into the lights as my missus will have a barney if she see's insulating tape covering any wires near 100l of water!

will be experimenting in my breeding tank before it's cycled with this!

Any type of silicone that has no fungicudes/pesticides added is fine. If it says 2safe for aquariums" then it probably is...

ok just ordered my cold cathode lights, however, i'm bloody lucky enough to have a few mates who are electricians so they're gonna wire them up properly with a voltage selector! there'll be no insulating tape near my tanks!

you cant have a DIY install without insulation tape - it's a sin

Besides - it us electritians, electrical and electronic engineers that are the worst for 'bodge'ing things together

now on ebay when you got yours. does it come with the wiring? I have looked on ebay and most of the posts just have pics of the cathodes lit up in blue. I mean they have to have the wiring right to work? smithrc yours had the wiring do you remember who you got yours from?

when u buy them from anywhere this is what u going to get

yes it cames with wires the transformer (the black block that u see in the pic) and the switch
