Hello,

Our breeding pair of Honduran red point's are at it again, a full new tribe of them maybe 100+ again. But this time we have a problem.

Last night our angel fish started being more aggressive towards every fish and seemed to be hanging around our filter a lot, I said to my girlfriend 'I think our angels are breeding, I sat down at my PC 10 mins later i got up and i glanced at the filter and they were planting eggs on the spout where the water flows, I've got a video of the whole thing so i'll post that soon.

Anyway the problem is, The angel fish decided it was a good idea to spawn a few inch's away from the honduran red point's cave, So it's a civil war in the tank.

The angels are getting quite nipped due to not bein as fast as the honduran's, I'm not sure if i should remove a pair or take the spawn off one of them to stop a lot of stress in the tank.

I've never dealt with angel's breeding before i thought it would never happen in our tank as it's quite vicious especially as we've had to temporarily spread fish out in different tanks because of a leak in one of them.

need advice!

When the Angel eggs hatch the small fry are likely to be washed into the tank by the water current and so are likely to be eaten before the angel parents are able to gather them up. Due to this I would try to remove the eggs from the filter inlet and attempt to raise them either externally without the parent fish, or with the parent fish in another tank.

Good luck with the babies

It doesn't rain it pours...lol

I hope you can get the situation under control

Good luck
