cheap bettas

when i breed these im going to sell them cheap like $5 each or just pay shipping cost also the local breeder i bou=ht this guy from gave me the male like cheap only becouse he said he wants fry back so gave me the male i mean realy cheap i still cant beleave it so if you all think you want any leave me message on the board

and yes i know there not in the same tank got the filters and all the guy came over tday and set everything up for me and said he will come by in a week or so to mate em trying to make new breed and color of betta so dont worrie i have an expert with me on this !!! B)

ok it sounds like this guy is making you do all the hard work and why would you want to cross a plaket with a crowntail? i really think you need to do your research on betta breeding before you jump in there. what have you got to breed in what size grow out tank. and do you have LOTS of jars like 200+ just in case of a big batch

an expert would not breed these 2 fish i would certainly question his motives,

i'm not a bad lass, i'm just trying to save you being stuck with a load of fish you can't sell because this guy lets you down or nobody wants a cross bred betta , also these are both beautiful fish why risk it

Breeding those two will probably get you a bunch of long-finned combtails, but you would get CT plakats in the F2

that bloke just sounds abit suss making CLUELESS do all the hard work, if he's an expert why get a novice(no offense ment) to breed such a lovely pair with all the risks that are involved.

Well personally, if I were an expert, I'd be happy to let a novice try to breed some bettas under my guidance. It's fun to introduce someone to your hobby and help them learn about it
Besides that, Clueless gets to do all the work and he gets some fry from it!!

I actually have a very nice plakat/crowntail cross bred by wuv. He's purdy. Yeah, the tail may not be quite as defined as another fish, but it's still impressive and his body shape and coloring are beautiful. Good luck on the breeding, clueless!

If they turn out the same color as the male..I'd defiantely take a couple males...that is just georgeous!!! I love yellow on bettas, mustard gas is rockin!! Nice fish.

well since he has many he only gave this guy to me for $3 so i grabed him he said this guy usely is $20 but ill give im to you for $3 only if you give me fry back im liek ok you got it so he is lerning me how to breed that is the reason he is comeing by to teach me so if you all want fry just say so this color on this male is like wow ! any one got yellow females that i can put with him ???

Clueless, I'm sure you're listening to what everybody has to say and weighing it out for yourself. I've done a plakat/ crowntail spawn before and as Falcon said they came out okay but they're not spectacular. Now, that male you have IS spectacular (gorgeous!) so be sure and use a female that won't dominate his gorgeousness. Does this guy have a sibling female, by chance? Or any other plakat females?
