Very suddenly - eating very well , still making bubble nests then woke up this morning to find him dead - no explanation
INSPECTED his dead body and all fins still perfect - everything perfect apart from not breathing

It's so unexplicable - ammonia 0 , nitrites 0 , nitrates 5 , ph 7 , temp 27

mature filter (7 months +) , weekly water changes and sand vacs - no overfeeding , cherry shrimp as tank mates

CASPER RIP hun

Well, Since I started here I realised right from the start you look after all your fish. So im just guessing its one of those things. If only we new :(

Sorry to hear about your loss, pippoodle. He was a very pretty fish.

thanks all :( Scar who shares the divided tank with him is perfect so i shouldn't think anything got in the tank

the tanks in the hallway so nothing gets sprayed there either

I have just removed scar from the tank - he's temp in a 30 litre storage box - filtered and heated :)
Going to do a 100% water change , rinse the filter media , hoover and give a really good stir of the sand , fill with fresh water , heat up and replace scar in the morning -----

Oh no! :( So sorry your lil Casper died.
Sucks when a fish dies on you for no apparent reason.
I hope your other ones are going to be ok.

Sorry to hear.

He was a stunning looking fish.

How old was he?

i dont know how old he was got him from a lfs :( about 4 weeks ago
bless him

Sorry for your loss :(
He was a cutie!

I fear I'll lose Albert Fish sooner than later due to age. I only got him a few months ago but I think he's fairly old. I dread the day -_-
