They only had 2 of these. I would like some more, but I have no idea what they are. I hope the pics are good enough for you to tell. I would like to know what kind they are and what sex if possible.

They aren't the best pics, but I am still learning. I hope they are good enough.
Thanks for helping! :good:

Its really hard to tell by those pictures, but 2 of the 3 in that first picture look like C. elegans. If not, Im pretty sure they are part of the Elegans Group. Better pictures would help.

I hope these are better.

I know albino and peppered. I need to know what the other 2 are. The pics are all those 2 fish.
Thank you!!!

It is elegans groups, [ C. elegans, C. napoensis, C. nanus, Cundulatus] more likely C. elegans or C. napoensis.

Let's hear from other expert. :good: :good:

The back half looks sort of right, but the front end has black color mass instead of the design elegans has. Do they not always have the design. On mine the real fish look more to me like the first pic I posted. The black is more like a thick stripe and mask. It just doesn't have defined outline. It sort of fades out all over. Only one of them has the second black line in the center of the back half too. I think the cracks in color in the pic is due to enlargment and my lack of photo taking skills. I am really trying to get better though.
Are there sloppy coloration versions of c. elegans? Mine are not as pretty as the pics I found. Mine are not ornate. They are quite plain.
Thanks! All help is very much appreciated! :good:

What do small bronze look like? They are quite small. Could that be what they are? I just saw a pic in another topic that looks similar, but no mask.

This has me really fuzzled

I had to practice some more so here are the new pics...

I have been searching and reading. I found 2 c. elegans that look just like mine!!!! From the info I found the color difference may be male and female. Is this true? It said the female is more plain and has no markings on top fin. Please let me know if this is true or not. I have a habit of finding bad info out there so I always try to ask here to find out for sure.
Thanks :good:

They are without a doubt C. elegans, the less colourful one is the female.

Thank you! It was the only 2 they had so I got them. I figured I would find out what they were and get some more. I just got lucky getting one of each sex. I was afraid they were 2 different kinds. This is cool! :yahoo:
:thanks:
