I have a pair of kribensis and i love them, i would love some other dwarf cichlids or even slightly bigger but nothing more than 6inches. Is there any others that i can have?

Usually kribs can't stand other cichlids their size, and they're more aggressive than other cichlids in their size range. Apistos and rams would be likely bullied to death (I've seen these kept with kribs in large tanks, though, but it's always a gamble). Somewhat bigger cichlids would be a better option. I've kept a pair of full grown keyhole cichlids with kribs and it worked fine, but on the cichlid subforum someone reported that his kribs bullied the keyholes too.

Rainbow cichlids would probably work, just be aware that they sometimes like to dig, and may decide to destroy plants.

Oh I just noticed it's a 25g tank. I think the rainbow cichlids and kribs will need a bigger tank to coexist peacefully.

i made the mistake of gettin a female krib and then wanting more cichlids so i bought 4 keyholes and she did nothing but chase them constantly for about 3 days, so i took her back and got a pair of bolivian rams and agassizi's and never looked back

i was under the impression u couldnt have rams with and of the dwarf cichlods, do yours get on well? i wouldnt want to remove my kribs

is a larger tank a certainty? if so you could look at keyholes, blue acara, dwarf acaras, sajica or similar species, firemouth or similar species, festivum, severum, geophagus.

I wouldn't add anything to the 25g but if you must, I'd choose from keyholes or dwarf acaras.

yer i have jsut ordered the tank its an 8 week wait, i wouldnt add to my smaller one, ill take a look at the fish u listed, im going to have a bunch of plants and read that the firemouth likes to dig, i know most cichlids do so ill take a look and see whats less likely to.

Ive kept a breeding pair before, first with a firemouth then after a angel and they got on fine, now i have a male mature in with a chocolate cichlid without any bother, but tank size helps, also pairs of cichlids can be aggressive
