Bronze And Panda Spawned Again

Thanks guys. I have a 10mp SLR with a macro setting. So when I crop the photos it makes them even closer. Thats the key to getting good close ups.
I set my camera on the 14mp setting for cropping but it looks grainy when cropped
The only time i can get a decent pic is with the tank lights off at night with the flash with iso 400 and exposure +3 to let more light in,the macro setting won't let me use flash!!

What do you set your exposure & iso on or is it automatic settings?

I have it on auto. I have a few flash setting 1/4 flash is what I used on this photo. I used the auto focus too.

If it's not a clear photo my guess is it is out of focus or you shutter speed is too slow so any movment will blur the photo. That's why I like to use the flash settings things don't get bulred when you have more light.

You could try and add more like put a flash light on them or add a lamp right next to them.

Just play around with it. If you have flash setting play with those. I find a full flas and 1/4 flash work well.

I moved the fry into a 10 gal tank only half full. What's the best way to feed them? I have powder fry food called first bits. It's so fine. I added a few tiny snails to help keep the tank clean from uneatten food.

Would crushed flakes be best? because then I could see them and get it out.

I'm scared my heater is not working. How cool can the water get?

Firstbites is ok,i also give mine defrosted bbs, both these i put a tiny amount in tank water and use a pipette to put it on the bottom of the tank near to the fry,has i can see and know roughly where i put it i can clean it up after.
My fry have tiny orange bellies from the bbs

some are culturing miroworms, this is also good for fry.

Do you have a thermometer in there?,a while back inchworm gave me advice from what they've got on planet catfish and temps between 16-25 are good for fry, with cooler temps maybe being better.
My tank is on 22 degrees at the moment :)

Good luck :good:

Thanks .My temp is at 68 f = 20c room temp my small heaters died. So I guess they will be fine. What about brine shrimp? I was thinking of growing some.

I have never tried culturing baby brine shrimp,i cheat by using frozen

My tanks drop temperature at night,so be careful if your house gets cold at night.

My panda eggs hatched today. I was doing a major cleaning of the Cory tank I found 2 more panda eggs in the moss. I also saw a tiny fry swim and hide. I think he might grow up in the tank. I could not catch him. But I do have more panda eggs. And that means there might be more eggs or more fry. Pretty cool.

So my other 4 pandas are in the fry tank now. I have been feeding brine shrimp I do daily wc 30%. the temp is 69f. I lost 3 bronze today. Bummer but my others are still doing well and growing so fast. Now I'm waiting for 2 other panda eggs to hatch they have a few more days to go. I Have a feeling I will get a little suprised baby in the parents tank.

What's the average fry lose?

sorry to hear you lost 3 :rip:

Good luck with the remaining fry :good:

Well i'm not sure what the average loss is,i've lost 100's literally since nov,and i'm not sure why, whether its fate

Considering my very first batch done really well, and 50% survived :)

Thanks. I know that I will lose some. that's why they have so many.

Here is the only good photo I could get of them. These guys are 6 days old.

 look at the cuties! Another really good pic (has a stomp at her own lol) they are gorgeous, best of luck withthem hope that you dont lose any morex

Thanks it's not easy to get a good photo of fry. I took so many and they all looked like blobs or you could not see them at all. I got lucky with this shot.

I lost one more. And I'm waiting for my 2 random panda eggs to hatch it might happen tonight.
