BIDKA are proud to announce following the success of last years show, the 2009 British Discus Show. This year the show is being held at the prestigious venue, Haydock Park Racecourse on the weekend of 28/29th of November. The British Discus Show is the largest independent Discus show in the UK and is the only show to see lectures from a number of the worlds leading Discus specialists. Attending the show will be Andrew Soh, Jorg Stendker, Ralf Battenburg, Jeffery Tan and Dr Peter Burgess. Also attending the show will be the country's leading Discus vendors and aquatic specialists.
At the show there will be a large number of top quality discus in the competition, show tanks and to purchase.
On Saturday will see Andrew Soh giving a talk on 'Designer Discus' if you attended last years show you will know this is not to be missed. Also sees Jorg Stendker giving a talk on 'Diskuszucht Stendker from beginning to now' Jorg and his brother run Europe's if not the Worlds largest domestic discus hatchery. Joining Andrew and Jorg on Saturday will be talks from Jeffery Tan and Ralf Battenburg. Jeffery will be giving a talk on Stingrays, Jeff being a world renowned discus breeder, now runs a Arowana and Stingray farm. Ralf will be talking about Wild Discus, Ralf owns specialist discus shop Discus-Special in Düsseldorf and is known for his specialism in Wilds.
On Saturday evening will see the show dinner, being held at a local 4* hotel. You will get to meet the experts, fellow discus enthusiasts and our guest speakers. Also there will be a number of great prizes to be won throughout the evening.
Sunday will see the results of the competition and talk from Dr Peter Burgess on discus and fish health. Not to be missed by discus or fish enthusiast alike.
At the show will be many special offers on discus and related items. You will also be able to meet a number of other organisations and associations. It will be also a chance to meet the team behind BIDKA.
Haydock is centrally located for the majority of the UK and has great communication links, it is easy to get to by rail or road and served by a number of international airports.
