I guess they are just hanging out as my two breed like rabbits but I never see them together "in public". They like privacy and caves.

They don’t mate per se. Females lay eggs and males fertilize them externally, within a cave defended by him (the male she has chosen).

they are probably just Hanging out i cant realy see if ther mature if they were mating, they would probably go in a cave make shore you provide a cave for them.
