NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :grr:

I DONT WANT TO MAKE MONEY!!!!
I JUST WANT THE CHALLENGE OFBREEDING THEM!!!!

I WILL GET A SOLID RED VEILTAIL AND BREED IT WITH A WHITE FEMALE!!!!
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT breed veiltails.

Betta breeding is not something to be done for the challenge.

If you want a challenge, listen to SRC. Get some sea monkeys. Then feed them to your fish once you get tired of them, they're really just brine shrimp.

Breeding animals is not suposed to be a CHALLENGE...omg no. Grow some sea monkies if you want a challange...you should not play God with a LIFE just to see if you can. They are fish..they have lives...they are not indespensable inanimate objects. :grr:
Actually...growing sea monkies is a major part of betta breeding   So that's even more of a challenge.

But I agree with everyone,it's not a cheap hobby and if you do decide to breed there is no point spending just as much money on veil fry as you would on fry that will be easy to house.

Ill tell you what if you want a challenge contact me and i will sell you a decent pair of crowntails or halfmoons for £10.00 plus £6.oo for posting just to stop you breeding Veiltails....

surely it will be fine if i got good quality veiltails.
No, that's the thing, it wouldn't.

Do you realize how many fry you can get from a spawn? bkk had 600 fry from one spawn!
Are you prepared to take care of all of those little mouths with live food, jarring, and constant water changes?
I see from your profile that you're 15 years old.. Do you have a job to help pay for how much this will all cost? You might want to ask some of the breeders on here how much it cost them to do just one spawn.

Do not breed veiltails! Regardless of the so-called 'quality' of your veiltail, it's still considered the mutt of the betta world. Would you go pick up a male and female dog from the pound regardless of the species, and breed them? What would you do with the puppies?

If I were you, I'd take up Bettaman on his offer.

It costs hundreds of dollars to breed bettas, as well as raise them. Read the pinned topic on breeding bettas and see if you're prepared to handle that. If so, get some bettas from Bettaman, and ONLY THEN give it a try.

If you breed veiltails and end up with hundreds of fry, what are you going to do with them all? The LFS won't take them because they have contracts with their current breeders for veiltail fry. And I highly doubt you have 300-500 friends to give them away to.

You'll have a much better chance of selling the fry if you breed a quality pair.

If you're ready to accept the responsibility [both financially and as a breeder], and if you're ready to put the necessary funds into doing this to purchase live food cultures, growout tanks, jars, etc.. then spend the £16 and get a quality pair from Bettaman. It's worth it.

Plakats are a more vicious fighter. Ask bkk_group.

If you like long finned bettas, seriously consider taking Bettaman's offer. I can't say enough times, do not breed veiltails. He's offering you a quality pair at an awesome price, there's no reason for you not to take it if you're already prepared for the financial responsibility of raising that many fry.
