Thanks guys. I just got up for breakfast, and the wee guys are busy feasting away on mum and dads fishy milk. I will post daily video updates, so that you can follow their growth.

Here are the little dudes today. They have been swimming for about 18 hours now, and seem to have got the hang of it pretty well

. My apologies for the state of the back glass and tank bottom, but I haven't been inside with the sponge for a few days, as I don't want to unsettle them.

i didnt realize that ive been away for so long! it has taken every second of my free time over the last FOUR DAYS to play catch up with this blog! (you wish you had that much free time, dont you? lol)

anyway congrats on the fry man! who would have thought it would have taken, what did you say, 5 months to get this far?!? My next task is to hit up youtube to check out all of the vids seeing how i cant watch them here on the site

Poor Mum, the fry are all over her like fleas on an old dog. She is getting eaten alive, and dad obviously tastes like an old sweaty sock, because he hardly gets a lick! Mum is looking seriously fed up with all the nipping at her flanks and keeps trying to shake them off on dad, but the little dudes are all mummy's boys and girls!

Dad even has a guilty look on his face and keeps trying to take the fry away, but they don't want anything to do with their dad!

It'l be a different story in 2 months time when there wanting him to throw them up and catch them constantly though

Or when they break stuff that needs fixing!!

Is all looking good and they look strong and are growing fast. I would guess there are around 50 left, I siphoned up some dead ones when I gave the tank a good scrub earlier. Is not too bad, when you consider they only laid around 70-80 eggs. If I can end up with even half these guys making it all the way I will be happy.

Set-up the Brine Shrimp hatchery, so that I am ready to supplement the fry in about 48 hours. Hopefully that will relieve Mum a wee bit!
