BBS is for newly-hatched brine shrimp? sorry, still picking up on acronyms used here! Watrching what you do for future reference here, so hope you don't mind the newbie questions!

They are so gorgeous! You're almost making me want to sell my 3 tanks so I have the space and money for a bigger one LOL. What size is reccommended for a breeding pair? And what size for a growout tank?

Yes JDs4Me, BBS is baby brine shrimp. I buy eggs and hatch my own for the youngins. They LOVE it!

Finmama, I have a 55g for my pair. They are the only fish in it so they have plenty of room. As for a growout tank, I'm not sure what is recommended but I have a spare 40g that I will probaby move them to when the 55g gets to crowded.

Omega One Cichlid food and I supplement with snacks of frozen brine shrimp and the occasional bloodworms.

they both look in great condition...I am getting Thorichthys aureus or ellioti for my 4-footer...Omega One a good staple for cichlids then, with live/frozen supplement? i've read that the Hikari Gold can get the fish a bit tetchy?
