Breeding Diffrent Types Of Discus

hi i am new to keeping discus and i want to keep different coloured discus in my tank and was just wondering if 2 of them pair off in the future what colour would the babys come out ? or is that how all the different colour vairiations came about by breeding different colours together ?

That's a big question. Pretty much some of the fry will look like mom, some will look like dad, but a few will have traits of both.

i know they dont just breed they have to pair off but what is the chances or 2 pairing off if i have 6 ? because im going to end up with a spare 2 1/2 foot tank anyway i took a likeing fo a coupple of reed/rope fish in the pet shop and im having to get a bigger tank for em

Chances are quite likely. If their at a sexually matture age and take a fancy to each other then there's no stopping them
