Bn Lifespan

Ive really got attached to my BN i rscued and have just been told hes been living in the filter for 9 to 10 years so now ive got him is he likely to last much longer?! how old are peoples BNs?

I don't know about BNs specifically, but most plecs and catfish are very long lived; I have a clown plec that's just turned 15, and a couple of rescued talking catfish that I've had for 13 years.

ah there is hope! im just thinking if he croaked of old age the woman whos filter he came out of will prob think 'see, he was happy where he was' lol plus hes kind of cute i'd miss him

They can live 10- 20years (20years being rare occasions i read a thread on here where someones lived for 26years!
