well they have finaly done it i collected 15 eggs at 12 0clock today and the female has been going crazy with no males been intrested for 3 hours but its just layed 3 clutches and the males fertilesed them
im just off to collect them now so ill let you know how many eggs i collect :good:

I suppose I oughtn't count your eggs before they've hatched but - congratulations!

how come ure getting rid scot ?

yeah my finches are doing great got some java sparrows on eggs and bengalise so hopeing i can get some chicks before it gets to cold :good:
 
well there still spawning :rolleyes: thats nearly 7 hours now and iv collected id say 200 eggs and its still got more eggs to come i think :D
 
Just wondering do you need to do anything special to make cories breed?. Also how do you tell female form male? Thanks congrats as well. Thats a lot of eggs.

good water quality and condition them with frozen,blood worm ,dafnia,black fly lava .or live foods.
flake .pelets ,tubafix.just good quality food mor than usuall for 1-2 weeks to get them in breeding condition, after that time cool water changes more often to get them spawning

males are smaller than the females ,and females allot plumper and wider wich you can see from a top view
 
every time i think they have finshed they lay more they have been at it for 8 hours now and i must have 230-250 eggs and there still at it :rolleyes:
