Does it work? From your experiences tell me your findings. I was treated very rudly today by a lfs when i asked if they had it and they said it was garbage. He wouldn't carry it in his store, and If i wanted it, I would have to go to another city (1 hr or so drive) to get it. I haven't not yet heard one person put it down like that before...

I've never used it but we sell it at the LFS I work at. My boss, the person who orders the stuff in, knows his fish stuff. He says it works. Another fish guy at my work also recommended I use the stuff when we were having some trouble with one of the marine tanks at work. So that's two votes for it, from guys who have been keeping fish a long time and really know their stuff.

bio spira is exellent stuff because it is a marineland product, i have used it in my tanks and it works exeptionally well and all of my lfs agree and stock it. whoever says its garbage is full of it. always trust marineland products

I also used bio spira on my first tank (75 gallon), I beleive it cycled my tank in 17 or 11 days cant remember.

But have not had to use it since cause I just use media from my existing tanks!

But when i was newbie to hobby, and was entering the scary world of cycling  it helped me out big time

Well, now my next cycling product to ask about, Biozyme. Does it work? I've seen it mentioned a few times on the site, but I can't find it.

is it available in the u.k?

Where do you buy all this stuff you guys?

It's in Tennessee.

has anyone used this in a new tank. it's supposed to cycle it for a full stock immediately unless you already have fish in the tank. So I was wondering if it actually cycles a tank that quickly.

Torrean, everything I've read on the forum I listed above says it does. Somewhere on there I had found (but can't find again) a diary from someone that had used it. Unless I'm mistaken, he started out with adding 24 neons and bio spira on day one. He posted readings daily and never had ammonia or nitrite at any time and never lost a fish. I think he added the second dose of bio spira on the 7th day as the directions say. That's pretty impressive for 24 neons.

yes it is. Thanks very much. The stuff is supposed to be able to take a full load of fish on the first day. As long as the fish are added on the same day as the biospira
