Haha I passed. I also passed on the first Emperor Angel I've seen in stores. Believe me I wanted him, bad. His pectoral fins looked a little cloudy so I asked most of the staff about it. Everyone said it was probably nothing. One was even totally confident it was part of the fish's transition. I wanted to have sure so I went to the assistant manger who I find quite helpful in the past. He said it was most definitely an infection and he'd recommend waiting. So we will see what happens on that front over the next week out so.

I do have an update to share tonight, though. Hopefully petey is happy.... stay tuned.

Ps
Big thanks to everyone for their compliments and their comments

My Picasso has pretty much forced me to do a major overhaul on my scaping. Originally I thought it would be best to have a lagoon styled scape that allowed for hiding places s long the back. I now feel like it's making it difficult to clean the back of the tank and I'd solo taking away from prime solace in front where you'd want the fish to spend most of their time. I guess I'm asking for some suggestions. Should I move most of the rrock to the very back to give more open space to the front and forget about cleaning three back glass as much?

Here's a short video of some of my buddies

Petey's new Puffer Pal. I've had my eyes on him for a few weeks now. I thought way back when I got Petey that I would someday pair him with a porcupine puffer. This wasn't the first one I've seen in the stores, and I wasn't completely sold once I saw one in real life. While I did think Petey was Ugly-Cute, I think the Porcupine is just..... ugly. :) My wife has been consistent all along that she thinks he is just as cute as Petey and makes a good pal. I was also a bit skeptical again about his size, but again no aggression issues so far. What do you guys think?

and I thought I would share with everyone my little (nearly completed) project. I hate to call it a man cave. FF suggested maybe Fish Cave. But anyhow, here's my little sanctuary.

time out.

Is there a way to embed the videos from Photobucket or do I need to upload them to youtube? Kinda sucks to just have the link to the video.

Time in.

@ kyle I was actually considering a cleaner wrasse quite some time ago, but with the predators I wasn't sure if they would co exists. I'd be curious to hear what others think about this?

@ ainsy I saw some smaller black clowns today. I wanted to get one but wasn't sure if they were still young enough. They were mostly black but their faces were still pretty orange (I think orange, I'm a bit color blind). Correct me if I'm wrong, but when they are young they are primarily orange?

From what I understand is that they form a relationship with larger predators to where they both benefit, the cleaner wrasse cleans the larger fish and in return the larger fish keeps him around and doesnt turn him into sharkbait. I'd do some research to see if your fish can form this relationship with the wrasse. They seem like such cool fish not to mention beneficial.

Like I said, it's not an exact science....

The way that I have always done it in the past is to buy one that is considerably smaller than the other & it always worked out.

How friendly are you with the LFS? Could be worth asking them if you could put yours in one of their tanks with the smaller ones to see if they will pair up. (This obviously is dependent upon you being certain that the LFS doesn't have anything that your existing one might catch - like ich etc!!!!)

Aww I love the new puffer. Your wifey is right! He is just a cute as Petey. We love your Finish in the room, I called my hubbs over to check it out. How you ever sit anywhere else in the house would be a mystery to me. :p

It's been three years and it's almost finished. I want to build a poker table and it will all done. And now my wife is telling me we should sell our house and move haha

As for the new puffer, I scared him this morning and he inflated and hid. I got a picture with my new phone
