i assumed. i'm just going with what the bottle says
I used to have that problem with my betta and frogs. I put smaller gravel in and I don't have that prob anymorethe thing is, he spits out his food alot and when he tries to go back and grab it, it sinks down between the stones i have in the bottom.
no, five pellets twice a day. the bottle thing says between 2-4 pellets twice a day.
After having to remove a couple of troublesome danios ( the other 4 seem quiet for now) I was wondering once again about adding a gourami.....my betta is VERY placid and I highly doubt he'd do anything to a gourami......but how would it work on the gourami being with the betta?
If this would be ok, what sort of gourami would go best?
I like the look of the honey gourami, and my lfs has little orangey red ones....not sure what they are.....any ideas anyone?
ok i won't.....any idea about (i think they are called) bullpit plecs....they are tiny plecs....grow to about 5cm.....any idea if thats ok?After having to remove a couple of troublesome danios ( the other 4 seem quiet for now) I was wondering once again about adding a gourami.....my betta is VERY placid and I highly doubt he'd do anything to a gourami......but how would it work on the gourami being with the betta?

DON'T DO IT! I was in the supermarket once, and I saw this guy with a kid, and the kid was holding a bag with a honey gourami. So we talked abit. Turns out the honey was to live with the betta. But I didn't know any better than, so I didn't say anything about it. But no, the honey gourami will be treated as another male, whether it's male or female, no matter how placid the betta, DON'T ADD THE GOURAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting, though, that could have been lethal.
I have a BN plec in my sorority... He's fab at keeping the tank clean and he and the girls ignore each other..
BN is bristlenose, ironically, I'm listening about them right now. Here's the link. Now, a BN needs quite a bit of room, about 20 gallons. A pitbull can do fine in ten gallons, so long as the water has enough oxygen. However, do not make the water turbulent if you are keeping him with bettas.I have a BN plec in my sorority... sorry bit ofa newbie.....what's a BN plec? how big do they get?
ok i'll try find what it was, cos whatever i saw the other day only got to 5cm tops and would be ideal my tank is 55 litres but 45litres after my gravel mediaI think twelve gallons is too small for a bulldog pleco. You may want to post in the catfish section to ask the right size, specifically the loricaridae(spelling?) forum.
