Well, in my last post, I said that by grinding your pellets into smaller grains, my betta could at least fit them into his mouth and accually swallow them. I was wrong. He spat the little grains out also. Seriously, he chases after them as if he's been starved, and sucks it up. He then stays motionless for a a few seconds, while chewing them. Then, he spits them out, or swims around for a moment and then spits them out. And it's not like he's not hungry either, cause he keeps trying to eat them. I could clearly see now that size was not the problem. Although he did not spit some of the grains out, he still spat out a lot. So, during each feeding, he only gets around one pellet of nutrition instead of the recommended three. I have gravel in my bowl to hold the plants up, so I doubt he will be able to find the little specs of pellet to eat them later. Can someone tell me possibly what is wrong? He makes a bubblenest and everything, so I know he's not depressed or anything like that.

Also, by feeding him a couple of bloodworms, would that mess up the "switching to pellets" mode, and will he refuse to eat pellets for a few days again? I heard that some bloodworms once in a while is good for a betta.
