Betta has growths despite treatment

API Stress Coat contains aloe vera, I would not use it for that reason. There is evidence that aloe vera damages gills over time.

I did not know that. That is new to me..

I switched from Prime to Stress Coat and my bettas tails quit fraying. My vet friend told me the reason but I forgot it now. Fish seem happier too. I can’t find any info on Stress Coat being bad for bettas. Dr. Dave (my vet friend) says Stress Coat does not harm bettas. If anyone has the article that keeps getting referred to Stress Guard , I would live to read it).
