Hi all,
This betta was in a 25 gal community tank, but removed when I noticed him striking against wood and saw minor scale damage in one are on his side. His head is normally very dark blue but noticed Light discolouration and thought might be velvet so treated with salt. Noticed ich on a couple fish in community tank so started him on Metroplex. His scale injury healed within days. He looks normal, built bubble nests, appetite is ok. Just has this light discolouration. It is not gold like velvet. Any ideas what it is?

The ich probably caused the striking against the wood. If he's eating and acting normal, then he's probably fine. Betta fish's colors change over time, especially within the first year or so.

He's gorgeous ?
