Best Dwarf Cichlid For My Tank?

Kribs can be more aggressive than cacautoides though.

ste12000 is the better apisto breeder, the other dude imports and the quality isn't as good.

i have decided to go with the cacautoides, as long as I can gewt hold of some, how do you think this setup sounds with tem:
8 x harlequin rasbora
5x copper harlequin
8 x kuhli loach
2 x cacautoides( 1m 1 f)
some cherry shrimp

THats with a 110L tank, with pH of 6.0 and relatively hard water, been running for about 5 months, and is also planted

What kH and gH readings are you getting that give a tank pH of 6? Southampton's pretty hard water (kH 11 and gH 14) settles out at about pH 8.2, which is great for my Steatocranus cichlids (given your rasboras dislike of current, these are not an option for you).

However, Nanochromis parilius might be a good option, often misold as the "rarer than hen's teeth" Nanochromis nudiceps (parilius have the upper half of the caudial fin covered in black/white/yellow stripes).

I've just tested the pH and its 7 not 6!!! I don't know the kh or gH as I dont have a test, I only know it's hard water because of the white sediment which gathers on the tank or kettle etc

Ok so I still haven't got my dwarf cichlids  lol. I've been trying to do a bit of research I would just like check on a few things; are all the apistogramma species compatible for a community tank? I would really like peoples opinions on the best dwarf cichlid for hard water as I am a bit concerned about this, and will they eat my shrimp?????!!!!! thanks in advance
